Need…
… are a two-piece band out of Vienna / Austria. Members are Chris Hauer (music) and Bernhard Hansbauer (music, vocals).
The style is electronica mixed with guitars and noises, some songs from previous projects have been reinvented hence have a sometimes odd but exciting outlandish flavour – think of a hardcore song transformed into a danceable EBM tune!
Bernhard also runs the Bleak label, releasing experimental sounds from all over the world.
Both Chris and Bernhard have been playing together since the late 80s, so they share the love for post punk / new wave / synth sounds.
“To Look Time In The Eye”, the first EP, is available on all streaming platforms (April 2025).
A remix EP has been released on Bleak (April 2025).
